About South Jersey Concrete Sealing
Most commonly done on pool decks, patios, walkways, porches, walls, steps, landings, concrete sealing provides a protective coating over your concrete to help provide strength, reduce stains, built-up grime & dirt. Getting your concrete sealed keeps stains to a minimum, prolongs discoloration, and makes sure stamp concrete doesn’t fade to white concrete. This is good for any residential home or commercial building with concrete.
Our Concrete Sealing Process
We evaluate the concrete area from cracks, shifting, uplifting & rust marks. When we are reviewing stamp concrete, additional thought goes into the review process:
- Color
- Evaluating if just sealer is needed or will we need to update the base. We review the color tones in the base see if any fading is occurring such as lighter colored areas or even white concrete showing through. Along with seeing if colors are fading we also determine if the border of the concrete surfaces should take on a darker or lighter look to enhance it’s contrasting views.
- Determining the right additive enhancer. Additive enhancer is determined by seeing if we need to give the existing color additional antiquing or understand if It needs to be stained or not.
After the job is complete, we place caution tape around the sealed area and ask the client to stay off for 24 hours to assure full cure. We recommend this concrete sealing anytime from March – November, pending weather conditions.
